Sampling and Testing: Collect a range of samples for laboratory testing and undertake testing in accordance with statutory frameworks and best practice to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Environmental Impact Assessment: Carry out environmental impact assessments, delivering on assigned tasks to ensure comprehensive evaluation.

Able to work in challenging seasonal climates, variable terrain, and carry necessary field equipment and supplies
Able and willing to travel when needed and staff projects that may require multi-day field work and overnight travel
Experience working with GPS, data loggers and other field mapping/survey devices and applications
Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT) pursuing PWS certification through the Society of Wetland Scientists preferred
Familiarity with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, permit requirements and land use regulations (e.g., CWA 404/401, N.J.A.C. 7:7A, N.J.A.C. 7:13, NY Freshwater Wetlands Act, NEPA, EIS, etc.)
At least 10 years of experience working within the private sector as a consultant or environmental manager
Project management experience with the ability to independently develop and prepare work plans, budgets, and work scopes in response to RFPs or based on client needs
Able to work remotely, as needed, and collaborate electronically with project teams
Demonstrated technical skills in identification and characterization of wetland vegetation, soils, and hydrology in the Northcentral and Northeast, Eastern Mountains and Piedmont, and Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain Regions is required.
Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Natural Resources, Water Resources, Biology, Ecology, or related field
