What you would be doing

  • Performs any type of electric arc and acetylene welding and cutting
  • Handle, control or feel objects, tools or control
  • Repair, replacement, checkout, or troubleshooting of Burner control systems
  • Participates in electrical , mechanical, PLC, computer, alignment, vibration
  • Conduit, wiring, or electrical equipment installation – (except for replacement of damaged flexible conduit and re-securing conduit mountings).
  • Perform regular fire and safety inspection and issues reports.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Repair, replacement, or troubleshooting in PLCs (programmable logic controllers).
  • Specify, order or otherwise procure the necessary materials and equipment to
  • Provide verifiable and sustained authorization to work in the United States
  • analysis, etc. for all maintenance crafts.
  • Repair or replacement of facility lighting fixtures (in and out of doors locations)
  • Assist with training other craft employees.

  • Must have the ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Must be able to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision with drive toward accomplishment, and to produce high quality work.

  • Must be proficient in the safe use of all machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools
  • Ability to stand for 8 - 12 hours straight

  • Basic ability and knowledge of welding practices and hydraulic circuitry.

  • Preferably five (5) years in a related maintenance trade or occupation that involved electrical, hydraulic machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
