Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
Oversee entry-level engineer design activities.
Prepare client progress reports.
Follow established Quality Control procedures on all tasks.
Direct the planning and development of the project scope, procedures, and budget.
Review proposed contracts to determine significant parameters, time schedules and mileposts and define the major task areas.
Assist in business development within the firm's business development program.
Initiate and maintain contact with key professionals and officials of other organizations and companies, maintaining working relationships at all levels.
Conduct and assist with roadway design including geometrics, typical and cross sections, drainage, and maintenance of traffic elements.
Perform and or manage Roadway Engineering and design assignments of a varied nature.
Become an active member in civic/professional activities, societies and organizations.
Assigned segments of design projects where Roadway Engineering work is to be done; meeting cost and time schedules and production of quality results are primary objectives.
Participate/prepare construction cost estimates, proposals, and bid evaluations.
Work with the accounting department to keep billings and receipts current and accurate.
Conduct various Roadway Design elements.
Resolve problems and coordinate the final turnover of the project to the client, as the primary contact with the client throughout the entire project.

Experience with KYTC projects
5 years’ minimum experience in Roadway / Transportation Design and Engineering
Professional Engineering (PE) License in Kentucky required.
Experience with Civil 3D a plus
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
Excellent verbal and written skills
Open Roads Designer and MicroStation / InRoads experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
