The role involves installing and maintaining Spectrum cable for new and existing customers, troubleshooting network issues, ensuring cables are neatly tied per safety regulations, and completing required paperwork such as timesheets, checklists, and service orders.
No prior experience is required, though familiarity with electrical systems or cable technology is a plus. Successful candidates are motivated to learn, organized, good problem solvers, and possess strong customer‑service skills.
Required qualifications include passing a background check, being able to work 8 am‑6 pm at least five days a week with occasional weekends/holidays, owning a clean‑record vehicle, holding a valid driver’s license, lifting up to 80 lb, and maintaining a positive attitude.
Lightspeed offers an independent‑contractor 1099 position with hands‑on training, untaxed paychecks, and the potential to earn $1,500‑$2,000+ bi‑weekly. After a one‑week classroom and 2‑3 weeks field training in Raleigh, the technician will only need to visit the office once a week for supplies.
