Responsible for ensuring that adequate inventory of spare parts and material is on hand to accomplish timely maintenance of all HTSI departments
Ensure goods and services are obtained in an effective manner and in compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities include eliciting and reporting order status updates; also, reporting purchasing activity, open purchase orders, and supplier performance for management.
Initiates and or expedites purchase orders for material and services
Maintains close coordination with mechanical departments and Warehouse staff to ensure timely execution of material and services sourcing activities.
Responsibilities include maintaining positive vendor relationships, including robust response and follow-up communication.
Reviews and monitors requisitions purchase orders, and receivers’ memos to ensure proper flow and documentation of material and services from procurement to receipt of material or services.
Secures and analyzes quotations and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
Coordinates, as appropriate, quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company mechanical departments and suppliers.
Monitors and maintains stocking levels in coordination with warehouse staff and other mechanical departments; ensures minimum stocking levels are maintained.
Coordinates with Accounts Payable regarding proper billing, coding, and validation of vendor invoices versus company purchase orders.
