Drywall Tech - Paint & Drywall

Description

• Protect company property and client assets through proper material handling and site cleanliness.
• Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Mix and apply joint compound, adhesives, or coatings under supervision to ensure proper consistency and coverage.
• Safely set up and work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Assist Finishers by taping seams, applying first coats, and sanding surfaces as directed.
• Inspect surfaces for alignment, quality, and code compliance prior to finishing.
• Install, repair, and prepare drywall panels, framing, and backing surfaces according to specifications.
• Cut, fit, and fasten drywall boards using appropriate tools and fasteners.
• Maintain a professional attitude with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
• Take initiative to identify and resolve on-site challenges safely and effectively.
• Protect nearby fixtures, flooring, and equipment during installation or repair work.
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain job-site organization and schedule compliance.

Requirements

• Previous drywall installation or construction experience required; on-the-job training available for motivated candidates.
• Work performed in indoor and outdoor settings across residential, multifamily, and commercial projects.
• Requires standing for long periods, climbing ladders or scaffolding, reaching, kneeling, stooping, or crawling as needed.
• Display reliability and punctuality on all assigned shifts.
• Tablet or mobile device for job tracking and communication as assigned.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Familiarity with drywall tools, materials, and measurement techniques.
• High-school diploma or equivalent (GED, college, technical, or trade-school transcript, foreign equivalent, etc.).
• Hand and power tools for drywall installation (e.g., drills, saws, screw guns, taping knives, sanders).
• Must be able to lift or carry materials and tools weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools, materials, and controls.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Demonstrate consistent workmanship that meets Stancil’s quality and safety expectations.
• Ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and PPE.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat (above 90 °F) and cold (below 32 °F), dust, and construction noise.
• Follow directions accurately and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
