Design Engineer - Concessions

Description

• Supporting ongoing initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance team efficiency through the implementation of new methods, processes, and capabilities.
• Reporting critical technical issues to functional management.
• Collaborating with the stress assessment team to verify design solutions.
• Creating 3D models of specialized parts to address non-conformities using CATIA V5, and generating 2D detailed drawings that depict the nominal profile and the new profile. This also involves selecting appropriate materials, fasteners, protection measures, and conducting inspections (NDT).
• Studying previous solutions to effectively resolve non-conformities with high quality.
• To evaluate non-conformities identified during Fuselage production from a Design perspective and provide solutions while considering constraints related to manufacturability, assembly, and reparability. This includes:
• Understand the standards and working procedures applicable in concessions.

Requirements

• Specialized CATIA 3D parts as required
• Ability to comprehend Load path on Fuselage structure
• Ability to work to strict delivery schedules and quality requirements
• Excellent Verbal and written English skills
• Experience in handling Non Conformities within Fuselage Structure Metallic components i.e concessions design assessment for Fuselage Structure - Section 15 – 19 for Long Range / Single Aisle aircrafts such as A320, A321, A330 etc; viz. Upper/Lower Assy Center Fuselage; Fuselage Assy Aft Center Fuselage; Floor Grid Assy Aft Center Fuselage
• Extensive Knowledge/work experience on drawing interpretation; on Customer concession Methods & Processes of handling Non-Conformances
• Desirable to have knowledge of GD&T; ATA 53, 57
• Keen attention to details
• Extensive tool Knowledge/Hands-on execution on CATIA, SAP, DPDS, AIRINA, VPM/PDM
• Proficiency in German language is an added advantage
• Having knowledge on Primary and Secondary Structures of Aircraft
• Comprehensive knowledge of Design solution to resolve the non-conformance while having a good understanding of Stress requirements from Design point of view
• Thorough understanding of Airbus standards (SRM/ASR) of working procedures as applicable in fuselage concessions
