Responsible for defining strategic product direction and driving operational results through deliberate management of the portfolio and product mix, including quality, regulatory, and supply chain cost activities. The role ensures maximum return on assets and supports variable margin delivery for the business, while developing and executing pricing and contract strategy. Continuous monitoring of offer behavior informs business decisions using analytics, customer‑centric recommendations, and product expertise.
Develops, communicates, and executes pricing strategy, manages profitability metrics, and identifies variable margin improvement opportunities across orders, customers, market segments, applications, geographies, and products, ensuring quick and consistent quoting. Leads mass price change initiatives, monitors competitive activities, and provides price forecasts for Integrated Business Planning to close monthly financial gaps. Manages contracts and incentives, oversees the product portfolio lifecycle, and utilizes win/loss analysis for optimization.
Leads competitive intelligence efforts across business, sales, strategy, pricing, manufacturing, and technology, synthesizing data on competitors’ assets, capacities, costs, and strategies to recommend actions that defend and grow market volume and maximize margin. Collaborates with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and technology teams on asset strategy, inventory management, product specifications, complaints, and qualification strategies, and facilitates commercialization of new products and market entries.
Ensures S&OP plans align with product strategies, initiates actions to address variances, and communicates critical inputs such as quality specifications and customer preferences to manufacturing for integrated business planning. Defines contract volumes and coordinates commitments with the Pricing Manager/Analyst, supports the Market Leader in responding to customer inquiries, and participates in stage‑gate projects or segment teams as required.
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field and have at least five years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sales or product management, preferably in the chemical industry. Required attributes include strong financial and global business acumen, strategic and operational planning ability, high integrity, teamwork, innovation, and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication, negotiation and presentation skills, advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are also required.
