Prepare and management the development of traffic impact studies, land use planning, master plan studies, traffic signal warrant studies, bikeway planning and design, community and campus planning, technical report writing
Prepare temporary traffic control plan/traffic management plan (TMP) and signing, pavement marking plans
Supervise and mentor junior engineers
Manage project budgets to meet financial metrics
Assist in preparing conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, signal timings and engineering reports
Attend project meetings with clients
Prepare traffic signal design plans for new intersections and signal modifications to facilitate multimodal accommodations
Prepare technical reports for traffic impact studies, interchange access requests, or safety studies
Prepare Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) design plans
Responsible for business development activities

Familiarity in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (OpenRoads/InRoads preferred)
Familiarity with DOT and/or general DOT traffic design standards, MUTCD and AASHTO
BS in Civil Engineering
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
Self-starter and capable of completing tasks with minimal oversight
FL PE license is required
PTOE is preferred
3 - 6 years of traffic engineering experience
Valid driver’s license.
Proficiency in traffic analyses software such as VISSIM, Synchro/Simtraffic, Sidra Intersection, HCS
Willingness and motivation to curate and foster personal client base
A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
Knowledge in transportation planning, including comprehensive corridor analysis, DOT local programs (beneficial), public involvement, safety and access, pedestrian and bicycle planning, multimodal planning and traffic operations
Membership and involvement in transportation industry organizations such as WTS, ASCE, and ITE will be preferred, if not already a member
