Description

The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. The role includes signing leases, acting as a landlord on behalf of property owners, and ensuring smooth move‑in processes.

• Respond to telephone and internet inquiries and schedule virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
• Greet and qualify prospects using lead management software; assist with applications and deposits per Fair Housing requirements.
• Maintain an updated availability report and process applications with credit checks and rental‑history verification.
• Obtain Community Manager approval and follow up with applicants on their status.
• Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move‑in, secure resident signatures, and provide community orientation.
• Maintain an active social‑media presence to enhance property visibility and engagement.
• Address resident complaints, questions, and service requests promptly to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Conduct all functions necessary to close a sale, including scheduling appointments, generating leads, conducting tours, and maintaining showrooms.
• Utilize marketing strategies within budget, such as competitive rates, referrals, promotions, and outreach initiatives.
• Plan and host resident events, attend after‑hours functions, and act as a host as needed to boost retention.
• Complete lease, move‑in, and check‑out paperwork accurately and timely during peak periods.
• Participate in weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure prompt resolution of resident service requests.

Requirements

Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent, or 6‑12 months of relevant experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.

Physical requirements include extended periods of desk work, occasional stair climbing, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. The position is based primarily in an office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor elements, and employment is contingent upon a background check and E‑Verify compliance.
