Preconstruction Manager

Take the lead on complex construction projects from bid review to subcontractor buyout! You’ll prepare accurate estimates, manage subcontractor proposals, and support the preconstruction team in winning competitive work. This role blends estimating expertise with team leadership — perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring junior staff while tackling challenging projects.

You will collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors, evaluate subcontractor bids, perform value engineering, and ensure projects are set up for successful execution. Travel to local and regional jobsites as needed.

💪 Experience: 7+ years in construction estimating (commercial and/or healthcare projects)

• Proficient with estimating software (e.g., Timberline or equivalent)
• Preferred: Experience in conceptual estimating, value engineering, and both negotiated and hard-bid environments
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Proven experience estimating commercial and healthcare construction projects
• Comfortable reviewing bid documents, budgets, and scope of work
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor prequalification and buyout processes
• Ability to lead estimating teams and mentor junior staff

💰 Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 base + performance-based bonus
