Maintain a detailed understanding of network topology (logical and physical) across LAN and WAN environments, including hands-on discovery where needed.
Support the development of network strategy as part of the wider OT roadmap, collaborating with suppliers to help bring strategic plans into action.
Contribute to the design and delivery of network solutions within the Cyber Resilience for Operational Technology (CROT) Programme, working closely with colleagues and applying agreed standards.
Provide specialist input on the Operational Technology (OT) network, supporting its development, configuration, and ongoing improvement.

A strong understanding of network security principles and the ability to apply practical mitigations in real-world environments.
Hands-on experience with Cisco networking (including multi-site Cisco fabric networks) and Palo Alto firewalls, ideally covering both design and operational aspects.
A methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to turn ideas and requirements into workable plans, designs, or reports.
Solid experience in designing and configuring network solutions, with a good working knowledge of LAN, WAN, QoS, and firewall technologies.
Clear and confident communication skills – able to explain technical concepts to different audiences and contribute to documentation, designs, and discussions.
