Participates in the development of processes for repeatable execution of tasks

Assembling of structural metal building panels in a manufacturing setting

2+ years of experience with general trade skills for siding/roofing/metalworking or assembly

High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree

Accurate use of measuring devices including squares and tape measures

Skillful operation of non-specialized shop equipment

Operation of hand and power tools

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 70 pounds. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment. Dogwood Industries is seeking an Assembly Specialist to join our team. A successful candidate is someone who can efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials, in accordance with plans and specifications, as directed by others. The candidate must be able to understand written and verbal instructions while following drawings and work instructions. While the individual will work with metal cladding, insulation, and steel components; a successful candidate will have experience in carpentry or roofing, material handling, mechanical assembly, and maintain a safe work environment through organization and housekeeping.

Ability to select the proper tool for the tasks and ensures proper operation

Ability to follow instructions and execute assigned duties

• All employees are subject to a pre-employment background check and pre-employment and random drug testing. Due to working in / being exposed to a safety sensitive environment, THC testing will occur as part of all drug screens.
• Applicants must provide complete work history with employer references for last three to five years

$25.00 - $33.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
