Project Designer

Description

As an Intermediate Designer (Designer II) you will work directly with design and technical leaders on a diverse portfolio that includes high‑rise mixed‑use residential, hospitality, civic, and public projects. With 5‑10 years of experience you will contribute user‑centric solutions, mentor junior talent, and help elevate design quality within a vibrant culture.

The role involves taking projects from concept development through schematic refinement, detailed design, construction documentation, and site administration, providing technical and creative input, and coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders. You will also assist in creating persuasive proposals, facilitate client interactions, and champion an interdisciplinary design approach rooted in both inside‑out and outside‑in philosophies.

• Drive project phases from concept development to construction documentation and site administration.
• Provide technical and creative input, focusing on coordination, production, and delivery.
• Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, external consultants, and strategic partners.
• Apply an inside‑out and outside‑in design philosophy using hand sketches, 3D tools, and other communication methods.
• Create persuasive proposals and interview materials to secure new project opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior designers while ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
• Facilitate client interactions to meet project goals and maintain positive relationships.
• Uphold interdisciplinary design standards, emphasizing design excellence and technical innovation.

Requirements

Candidates should be actively working toward licensure, hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, and have at least five years of relevant experience across varied typologies and scales. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, strong visualization skills, and knowledge of sustainable design principles are required.
