Data Science Intern (Town Demography)

Description

• Develop proficiency in communicating with data by translating complex technical findings into actionable insights for a diverse stakeholder audience
• Develop an understanding of the interaction between population dynamics and URA’s planning strategy considerations
• Assist with the analysis of demographics and housing trends to identify patterns in population movement
• Collaborate with planners to interpret data findings meaningfully in the context of city development
• Build an interactive dashboard to allow urban planners to explore demographic data
• Create visualisations and presentations to communicate findings effectively
• Build technical skills in data manipulation and analysis techniques

Requirements

• Familiarity with basic statistics.
• Cultivate problem-solving and innovative thinking skills
• Undergraduates / Postgraduates pursuing Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Smart City, or other relevant studies
• Familiarity with R or Python.
• Interns who are able to commit between Jan - Aug 2025 for 3-6 months. Full-time internship preferred.
