This 100% travel role involves installing, maintaining, and operating wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment, adhering to MasTec safety policies and industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI. Responsibilities include climbing towers and ladders, erecting various tower types, off‑loading material, preparing sites, installing carriers on new and existing towers, and assisting with tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.
- Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment.
- Follow MasTec safety policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI).
- Climb towers and ladders, erect various tower types, and assist with helicopter, crane, and gin‑pole installations.
- Off‑load material, prepare and clean sites, and install carriers on new and existing towers.
- Assemble monopoles, self‑support, knock‑down, and guyed towers.
- Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas.
- Install transmission lines, foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and waveguide.
- Perform foundation, grounding, conduit, and electrical installations.
- Mentor less‑experienced technicians and complete other assigned duties.
