Construction Assistant Project Manager (Cedar Rapids, IA)

Description

• Create and submit RFIs, integrating them into project documents.
• Coordinate vendor and supplier involvement throughout the submittal process.
• Support creation, submission, and management of change orders.
• Update contract documents and photograph the jobsite to capture work progress.
• Monitor the project schedule and provide regular updates to operations leaders.
• Collaborate with the Foreman to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Lead project close‑out, handling documentation, warranties, waivers, as‑builds, and attic stock.
• Develop an understanding of project finances in partnership with Project Operations and Finance.

Requirements

• Organized with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.
• Strong communicator and team player, able to work across jobsites and the organization.
• Required: At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site, or a related degree/certificate.
• Bonus: Prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a project management capacity.
• Bonus: Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Benefits

The Assistant Project Manager position reports to the Project Manager and is based on a jobsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The salary range is $65,000 to $105,000, with the compensation package tailored based on several factors.
