Interns will be involved in preparing reporting packages for shareholders and management, handling expense and accrual files, reconciling sub‑ledger and general‑ledger accounts, and producing financial statements for international real‑estate entities, while maintaining accurate records in Yardi and completing daily reconciliations.

• Prepare shareholder and management reporting packages
• Create expense and accrual files for monthly and quarterly transactions
• Reconcile monthly sub‑ledger and general‑ledger accounts
• Draft financial statements for International Real Estate entities with notes
• Maintain accurate accounting records in Yardi
• Perform daily and weekly reconciliations and resolve variances
• Respond to inquiries from corporate staff, clients, and auditors
• Execute investment accounting and reporting for pooled portfolios
• Report and reconcile shares, holdings, and transactions for holding structures
• Maintain internal controls and recommend improvements
• Assist other staff members as needed
• Identify and analyze problems, taking decisive action when needed

Requirements

The Co‑op/Intern position in International Finance Real Estate is open to students enrolled in a post‑secondary program who will return to school after the term. Reporting to the Controller of International Finance, the intern will assist in deploying and distributing capital across QuadReal’s international portfolio and will be trained to manage inter‑company and external cash‑flow transactions.

Successful candidates should be enrolled in a Business or Commerce degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance, possess strong communication and presentation abilities, be detail‑oriented, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and demonstrate the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Enrolled in Business/Commerce degree with Accounting or Finance focus
• Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills
• Manage time effectively, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Detail‑oriented, self‑starter with high accuracy
• Previous finance or banking experience is an asset
