Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all surveying activities.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, logs, and documentation for project records.
Conduct quality control checks to verify survey accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve survey-related challenges on-site, adapting to changing project conditions.
Ensure all survey activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
Utilize advanced surveying technology, including GPS, total stations, LiDAR, and drones, to capture and analyze data.
Develop and implement surveying plans, methodologies, and best practices to optimize field data collection and layout. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop survey plans and schedules.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution.
Oversee all surveying operations for the construction of Mobile River Bridge, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications.
Manage survey data processing, ensuring integration with project management and BIM software.
Lead a team of surveyors and field personnel, providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance.

Proficiency in using survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors. Experience with survey software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity

Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to perform calculations (area, volume, circumference, proportion, percentage)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams
Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Suite
Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team
Regular, reliable attendance
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is considered an asset
10+ years’ experience in Construction Survey, Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, or a related field is required
