Tasks

-Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all surveying activities. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, logs, and documentation for project records. -Conduct quality control checks to verify survey accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements. -Troubleshoot and resolve survey-related challenges on-site, adapting to changing project conditions. -Ensure all survey activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and standards. -Utilize advanced surveying technology, including GPS, total stations, LiDAR, and drones, to capture and analyze data. -Develop and implement surveying plans, methodologies, and best practices to optimize field data collection and layout. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop survey plans and schedules. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution. -Oversee all surveying operations for the construction of Mobile River Bridge, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications. -Manage survey data processing, ensuring integration with project management and BIM software. -Lead a team of surveyors and field personnel, providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in using survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors. Experience with survey software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools. -Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to perform calculations (area, volume, circumference, proportion, percentage) -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams -Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Suite -Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team -Regular, reliable attendance -Bachelor’s degree is preferred -Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is considered an asset -10+ years’ experience in Construction Survey, Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, or a related field is required
