Tasks

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team, supporting developments across our residential community's portfolio. This role is critical in driving performance insights and enabling strategic decision-making for the state business unit. -Performance Leadership: Identify growth opportunities, manage risks, and interpret market trends to inform long-term strategy. -Drive Commercial Strategy: Provide insights that influence capital allocation decisions and optimise returns across the development lifecycle. -Change Leadership: Champion process improvements and contribute to future-state initiatives that enhance efficiency and business performance. -Governance & Accuracy: Ensure financial integrity across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow reporting in compliance with Stockland standards. -Commercial Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to project directors and leadership teams, providing actionable insights that drive profitability and sustainability. -Enable Strategic Decision-Making: Partner with senior stakeholders to validate financial metrics, model scenarios, and challenge assumptions to shape business plans. -Stakeholder Influence: Build strong relationships with Development, Sales, Marketing, and JV partners to align financial outcomes with business objectives.

What You Bring

Due to the permanent nature of this role, we can only accept applications from Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Open Work Visa holders with more than 12 months’ validity from the start date. -Collaborative and adaptable, with strong judgement and decision-making skills. -Willingness to maintain a regular presence on development sites and work three days per week in the Melbourne Head Office. -Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to process improvement. -Comfortable partnering with Development, Project, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders to build trusted relationships and challenge assumptions. -CA/CPA accreditation with 5–7 years’ experience in commercial management, financial accounting, forecasting, analysis, planning, and business insight within a large, complex organisation. -Proven ability to develop business plans, provide business partnering, and create productive networks.
