Tasks

This is a critical support role where you’ll help us manage project uncertainty and financial health across the entire program. If you have a solid foundation in finance or construction and are ready to apply your analytical skills to real-world engineering challenges, we want to hear from you. This is a chance to apply your expertise to a generational project that will redefine transportation in California. You will contribute to the fiscal responsibility and successful delivery of the state’s high-speed rail network. -Data Management: Collect and process data for project cost assessments and risk registers. -Collaborate: Work closely with estimating, scheduling, and project controls teams to support the tracking of risk mitigation strategies. -Integrate Findings: Help embed risk assessment results into project cost estimates, forecasts, and contingency planning efforts. -Report & Document: Draft reports, presentations, and summaries for senior management, maintaining clear and organized documentation. -Analyze and Model: Perform preliminary qualitative and quantitative analyses, including cost modeling and scenario analysis, to understand financial risk.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with risk and cost management tools (e.g., Excel, @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis). -Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. -3–5 years of professional experience in a risk, cost, or project support role. -Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse, cross-functional teams. -Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or capital projects. -Familiarity with foundational risk management and cost analysis concepts. -A track record of managing competing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
