The Role

Overview

Create BIM 3D sheet metal models, resolve clashes, ensure constructability, support field/fabrication.

Tasks

Maintain adherence to TDIndustries’ safety, quality, and productivity standards. Collaborate with project teams to provide constructible, cost-effective design solutions. Review contract documents, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accurate system design and layout. Work closely with field foremen and fabrication teams to validate design feasibility and ensure constructability. Lead or assist in clash detection meetings and resolve coordination issues across multiple trades. Update and maintain models throughout the project life cycle to reflect as-built conditions. Prepare fabrication and installation drawings, spool sheets, and hanger layouts. Support project schedules and deliverables, ensuring all VDC work meets established deadlines. Develop and coordinate detailed 3D models of sheet metal systems using BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD Fabrication, Navisworks, etc.). What You Bring

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a focus on collaboration. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Minimum 5 years of sheet metal field or trades experience (installation, fabrication, or layout). Ability to interpret and apply building codes, specifications, and project requirements. -Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and trade coordination. -Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a focus on collaboration. -Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite such as Outlook, Word, Power-point, OneNote, & Excel -High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred. -Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. -Basic computer literacy -Minimum 5 years of sheet metal field or trades experience (installation, fabrication, or layout). -Ability to interpret and apply building codes, specifications, and project requirements.
