- California Registration in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in tunnel engineering, geotechnical engineering, or geological engineering for large-scale underground projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and and/or education
- Experience with international tunneling standards and practices
- Experience planning and directing field investigations, engineering analyses, report preparation, design preparation, and/or field construction phase services
- Experience managing teams using industry-standard analysis and design software such as SAP2000, AutoCAD, FLAC, GeoStudio, and/or other related analysis tools
- California Professional Engineering license
- Advanced knowledge of tunnel construction methods and support system designs: TBM (pressurized closed face and open), roadheader, drill and blast, sequential excavation, etc.
- Advanced degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
- Published research or technical papers in tunneling or related fields
