

WSP provides engineering, design, and consulting services across diverse sectors worldwide.
The engineer will collect and analyze data from work sites, surveys, GIS, subsurface utilities, maps, and geotechnical sources to support project development and construction. Responsibilities include conducting research and inspections, applying advanced modeling techniques, preparing visualizations and technical reports, calculating material and labor costs, maintaining quality control, and assisting in the scope and delivery of small to medium‑sized projects. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and agency regulators, preparation of health and safety plans, and adherence to ethical and safety standards are also required.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, possess 3 to 5 years of relevant post‑education experience, and have an Engineer-in-Training certification. Required knowledge includes civil engineering principles, MassDOT, RIDOT, and MBTA standards, infrastructure planning and construction management, and relevant civil construction laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal, communication, self‑leadership, and problem‑solving skills are essential, along with moderate proficiency in technical writing, office automation, and design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Professional Engineering license. These additional credentials demonstrate advanced expertise and a commitment to professional development.

The expected salary range for this position is $73,100‑$125,410, with compensation determined by experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location.
