As an Electromechanical Technician you will support the safe, reliable and compliant operation of power‑supply systems while contributing to engineering projects and continuous improvement across the technical estate.
You will act as the Plant Responsible Officer, promoting safety, reporting issues and managing spares and consumables for assigned power supplies. You will also deliver training to operations and maintenance teams and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance to reduce plant faults.
In addition you will support engineering projects as a Project Engineer for medium work packages and assist larger multi‑year programmes, translating modelling and simulation into practical engineering outputs and preparing technical inputs.
The role requires apprentice‑level training and hands‑on experience in an industrial environment, including the ability to produce safe systems of work, supervise CDM activities and external contractors, arrange engineering services, and apply electrical and mechanical maintenance best practices. Candidates should hold relevant qualifications such as a pressurised‑water/compressed‑air certification, a Level 3 NVQ Diploma or BTEC in Engineering Maintenance, and a BS 7671 18th Edition award.
The remuneration package includes a salary of £42,858 (inclusive of specialist allowance), a 21.5 % pension contribution, 30.5 days of annual leave (including Christmas and privilege days), flexible and hybrid working options, and a relocation assistance scheme.
