As Solutions Manager you will lead the sourcing and onboarding of suppliers across the EAME region to manufacture CAT Solutions, including diesel and gas genset enclosures, electrical controls and switchgear. You will negotiate contracts, ensure suppliers meet People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets, and guide a team that delivers lean‑process projects and global market tools. You will also manage solution design, collect business requirements, develop implementation plans and drive strategic initiatives such as standardised best practices, training and continuous‑improvement programmes.
The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background with a customer‑focused commercial mindset and proven leadership and influencing skills. Required competencies include customer focus, industry knowledge, effective communication, negotiation, relationship management and cost‑benefit analysis. Preferred experience covers diesel and gas power generator sales, data‑centre standby and prime power sourcing, deep knowledge of the EAME CAT dealer network and collaboration across global sales organisations. A university degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field is required, and the role entails up to 20 % travel within EMEA.
The Solutions Manager role (Grade 26) is based in Larne, Northern Ireland, with a salary range of £67,569 – £80,000 plus up to 31 % bonus. The compensation package includes a £540 per month car allowance, a contributory pension where Caterpillar matches up to 6 % of employee contributions, a share‑scheme match of 50 %, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and flexible benefits such as health, dental, EV car lease and holiday purchase. The position follows a 4.5‑day‑a‑week office schedule.
