Description

Keeps pace with the implementation of new electrical design features.
Seeks ways to implement new ideas and technologies.
Collaborates with other designers and engineers to ensure that the electrical systems integrate seamlessly with other systems.
Supports DFMEAs, PFMEAs, CFD, FEA, and Seismic evaluations and testing.
Collaborates with engineers, management, and other creative departments to determine design solutions.
Confers with engineering management to complete assigned projects.
Reviews schematics for designs and makes design recommendations.
Utilizes EPLAN programming to automatically generate Bill of Materials and electrical schematics
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
Collaborates with the Design Engineering team to develop design standards.
Maintains and builds professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional societies.
Develops models and drawings including conceptual designs, parametric modeling and new technologies using EPLAN software.
Provides support to production team during prototypes and production launch to facilitate seamless releases and is trusted as a point person or go to for manufacturing issues.

A two-year technical degree is preferred, along with 3-5 years’ experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry. EPLAN ECE certification highly encouraged, but not required.
Excels in electrical and controls analysis of assemblies.
Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Design experience using EPLAN software.
Demonstrates excellent electrical, controls and design aptitude.
Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Understands safety standards including but not limited to UL, CE, NEC, IBC, and NFPA.
