Establish and maintain standard simulation processes to support new product development.
Validate simulation methods through comparison with physical test results.
Create analytical tools and models for predicting thermal, mechanical and dielectric performance.
Work closely with engineering teams to establish design criteria based on insights gained through simulation.
Conduct electromagnetic, electrostatic and transient simulations to assess dielectric performance.
Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and thermal network simulations to evaluate thermal management designs.
Conduct FEA simulations to assess structural performance under electromagnetic and seismic forces.
Provide technical guidance based on simulation results including recommendations for design modifications.
Develop methods for characterizing components and assemblies, plan testing to gather empirical data.

Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of thermal, electromagnetic, and structural principles relevant to power distribution equipment.
Familiar with three-phase electric power concepts, power distribution systems, power control and protection strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Strong organizational skills with precise attention to detail.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, testing or analyzing low and/or medium voltage power distribution equipment or related products.
Design Experience using Solidworks to produce 3D models is highly preferred.
Expertise in multiphysics Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods using tools such as Ansys or COMSOL.
Experience with common standards for electrical equipment (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with statistical analysis methods to interpret and utilize empirical data effectively.
