The Restoration Technician monitors and inspects tasks across drying, demolition, and other restoration activities to ensure proper completion. They prepare and review documentation, including notes and photos, following company policies. The role also involves explaining the restoration process and next steps directly to customers and supervising assigned technicians to maintain safety and operational standards.
- Retrieve work orders, load required equipment, and travel to job sites
- Supervise technicians, ensuring safety and operational standards
- Complete jobs per company processes, maintain quality control, and manage documentation
- Perform daily monitoring of active residential/commercial jobs with urgency
- Explain processes and next steps to customers using printed materials
- Produce sketches, scope sheets, and drying records via mobile software
- Inspect completed jobs, obtain customer signatures, and request payments
- Communicate customer issues and job activities to key staff
- Prepare/review notes, photos, and documentation for insurance reimbursement
- Train new technicians or operational team members
- Ensure compliance with safety standards throughout jobs
- Use tight‑fitting respirators when required

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving abilities, and experience in disaster restoration or construction are essential. Proficiency with mobile data entry tools is required, and familiarity with Xactimate is a plus. Experience in training or managing personnel is also valued.
The position requires the ability to lift and move objects up to 70 pounds repeatedly, and to stand, walk, squat, crawl, or crouch for extended periods. Employees may need to wear tight‑fitting respirators in certain situations and will work in varied indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes without temperature control.
