Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining production schedules that align demand, capacity, and material availability, and analyzing capacity constraints to inform near‑term execution and long‑term planning. The planner will respond to unplanned events such as production shortfalls or material shortages by providing impact analysis and recovery options, while generating and publishing metrics, forecasts, and performance reports to highlight risks and improvement opportunities. Additional duties involve partnering with cross‑functional teams to enhance batch sizing, material flow, and production controls, supporting inventory control processes, and contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives as the operation matures.
The Manufacturing Operations team in Manteno is hiring a Production Planner to support production execution and capacity planning for battery module manufacturing, and later for cell manufacturing. This on‑site, full‑time role works closely with manufacturing, supply‑chain, materials, and engineering partners to translate demand into executable schedules and to drive ramp‑up across multiple lines. Candidates should have 2–5 years of experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and a desire to grow with the expanding operation.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, operations, supply‑chain management, or equivalent experience, and at least two years of production‑planning or manufacturing‑operations experience. Candidates must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, possess strong problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills, and be comfortable working on‑site in a fast‑paced environment; experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP is preferred. Early‑career applicants should have hands‑on scheduling experience and be eager to learn, while more experienced professionals are expected to own production schedules, build analytical models or dashboards, and drive process improvements, with Power BI or similar visualization tools highly valued.
The position’s base salary ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 USD, reflecting skills, qualifications, experience, and location, and forms part of Gotion’s total compensation package. Gotion is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and a workplace where every employee feels valued and empowered. The company’s policies ensure nondiscriminatory treatment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, and other protected characteristics.
