Interpret drawings, specifications, geotechnical, and contract documents to define scope and quantities.
Obtain and evaluate competitive bids from subcontractors and vendors; ensure bid coverage and risk mitigation.
Maintain and analyze historical cost databases to improve accuracy and forecasting.
Run and validate models using HCSS HeavyBid and AGTEK; produce consistent estimating deliverables.
Prepare bid schedules, cost summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Work with the Estimating team to set the bid strategy, identify key risk items, contingency, and alternatives.
Enforce estimating standards and QA/QC.
Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and constructability reviews; document field observations that impact price/schedule.
Lead complete estimating packages: quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, cost breakdowns, and written proposal narratives for assigned projects.
