Computer Aided Design Designer

Job Summary: We have a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Designer to take on a Lead Design role, which will be dedicated to working on a high-profile account. This role will work closely with Account Managers and Project Managers to produce Commercial Kitchen Designs in 2D CAD.

• Detail the fabrication information on drawings and gather supplier information for equipment detail.
• Assist with project documentation and administrative tasks.
• Occasionally attend client update meetings, to review designs, templates, and equipment specifications.
• Assist the Account Managers and Projects Manager in gaining a solid understanding of the client’s requirements and translating this into their kitchen designs.
• Utilising 2D CAD to produce accurate design drawings and specifications for live projects.
• Discuss design issues with the wider team, working together to find practical solutions.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst delivering accurate, timely designs in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client specifications and ensure project timelines are achieved.

• Previous experience in producing estimates/quotations would be advantageous.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced business and meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and ability to work as team player.
• Fully conversant in the use of 2D CAD
• Comfortable being customer-facing.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with 3D modelling and BIM is preferable.
• Experience within Commercial Catering equipment sector is a must.
