Engineering Technician

Description

• Assist with field work, including but not limited to: setting up cameras for traffic counts, signal timing studies, and data collection.
• Support engineers in compiling reports and documentation for projects.
• Assist engineers with setting up project files in a wide variety of traffic analysis software.
• Prepare and update CAD drawings for traffic signal plans, signage, ADA curb ramp design, and pavement markings.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure accuracy of collected data.

Requirements

• Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed.
• High school diploma or GED.
• High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project managers.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability and desire to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers, managers, and clients.
• Excellent MS skills including Power Point, Excel, Access, Word.
• 0-3 years of Technical and Project-Related experience; a strong working knowledge of MicroStation a plus.
