Be a champion to support IIF efforts for working safely and building a culture of care and concern for each team member in the workplace.
Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other building materials.
Place and finish concrete.
Where applicable, assist with the completion of basic concrete formwork.
Ensure adherence to processes and procedures that support an IIF culture.
Receive direction about the layout and placement of building materials and components as required by the specifications and work schedules. Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and any other necessary surveying equipment.
Comply with all company safety requirements and policies.
Assure that workmanship is of the highest quality.
Take instruction from and work directly alongside a qualified Carpenter to construct, erect, install, and repair building frameworks (including walls, floors, and doorframes) using carpenter's hand and power tools.
Clean and maintain the work area and all hand and power equipment.
Utilize forming systems or handmade form systems.
Consistently communicate and reinforce the tenets of an IIF workplace.
Assist with fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, and trim.
Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.

History of carpentry experience and proven results including:
Ability to properly lift, carry, push, and move materials, supplies, tools, and ladders weighing up to 100 pounds on a routine basis throughout the day.
Willingness to work in various (sometimes extreme) climate conditions.
Basic computer and math skills.
Currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand basic blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, builders’ level, theodolite, etc.).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
Ability to be self-motivated, set own goals and tasks, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Ability to travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.
Physical agility to climb ladders, kneel, crouch down, and reach on a repetitive basis throughout the day.
