Description

• Development of engineering solutions and presents engineering options
• Implement effective, value for money and innovative design solutions to meet technical and project requirements
• Support the preparation of bids and delivery of services on other contracts.

• Complete performance appraisals with direct reports and provide learning and development opportunities where possible
• Assist with contract preparation together with project planning and programming
• Prepare and check feasibility studies, appraisal/assessment reports and other written documents
• Supervise, mentor and develop team members from senior engineers, through to graduate engineers and technicians
• Inspection work, feasibility studies, cost estimating for works and fees

Requirements

• Are experienced in the application of technical governance procedures within a consulting engineering environment
• Have a Bachelors or Masters degree in an appropriate subject

• Have Chartered Engineer status held with an appropriate professional body, 5 years post Chartered experience and 10 years post graduate experience in flood risk management based civil engineering projects

• Are an accredited training manager with a relevant professional institution, e.g. Supervising Civil Engineer for the Institution of Civil Engineers
• Can demonstrate high-level experience and expertise within the relevant technical field, probably gained in a Senior Engineer role or equivalent
