Oversee quality control, report review and management of projects related to structural systems
Oversee construction-phase services including field observations, RFI responses, submittal reviews, payment application assessments, and evaluation of change orders
Coordinate with legal teams, ownership groups, and insurance stakeholders to provide expert insight on technical findings, liability, and remediation strategies
Aggressively expand a group of engineers, certified inspectors, and technicians involved with structural systems
Involvement with inspections of forensic evaluations, structural investigations and design and other related inspections and professional services
Monitor key business metrics including backlog, resource allocation, utilization, and profitability to ensure department performance aligns with strategic goals
Issue and review site-visit reports summarizing observations, compliance with specifications, and resolution of construction deficiencies
Prepare and review repair drawings, technical specifications, structural calculations, and forensic analysis narratives for structural rehabilitation projects
Lead the investigation and design of repair solutions for distressed, deteriorated, or failing elements such as concrete structures, facades, parking decks, and occupied building components
Position the Structural Forensics team as a trusted resource for diagnostics, repair design, and construction-phase oversight of building restoration and rehabilitation projects
Serve as the owner’s advocate during the repair process, integrating technical consulting with construction oversight to ensure design intent is executed
Project management, proposal and report review and preparations, and as the department continues to evolve, lead and mentor staff engineers and inspectors
Lead marketing and business development functions in this market sector
Encourage cross-discipline collaboration with the Building Envelope and PCA teams to enable multi-service project delivery and internal growth
Lead and oversee a department focused on Structural Systems

Demonstrate strong technical oversight and client advocacy throughout all phases of structural investigation, design, and repair implementation
10+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
