The Role

Senior Quality Engineer leading QA and continuous improvement in precision engineering.

Tasks

-Act as a customer liaison, managing and resolving customer quality complaints. -Implement continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools (SPC, DOE, Pareto, capability studies, etc.). -Perform quality reviews, audits, and recommend process or standard modifications as needed. -Monitor key metrics and drive performance improvement. -Collect, analyse, and present data using statistical methods. -Review drawings and ensure correct application of GD&T and material specifications. -Deliver and document training on work instructions, policies, and procedures. -Contribute to APQP deliverables including FMEA, risk analysis, CAPA, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ). -Develop inspection criteria and sampling plans to align with customer and manufacturing requirements. -Lead or support productivity and process improvement projects. -Support suppliers in interpreting quality requirements.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will be a proactive Quality professional who thrives on solving problems and improving processes. With strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills, you’ll enjoy working in a collaborative environment focused on precision, performance, and continuous improvement. -Confident communicator, capable of liaising with customers and cross-functional teams. -Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QSR, ISO). -Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. -Strong manufacturing background, ideally with casting or forging experience. -Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Analysis, PPAP, and Continuous Improvement tools. -Degree in an Engineering discipline or recognised Engineering Apprenticeship. -Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g. automotive, aerospace, or medical).

Benefits

Salary: £50,000 – £52,000 + annual discretionary bonus -33 days holiday (including bank holidays) -Annual discretionary bonus -7% employer pension contribution (4% employee minimum) -Early finish Fridays
