The Sheet Rock Finisher is responsible for repairing, finishing, and maintaining drywall surfaces throughout company facilities and client properties. This role supports ongoing maintenance, tenant improvements, and repair projects by delivering high‑quality drywall finishing, patching, and surface restoration while minimizing disruption to building occupants.
- Install, tape, mud, and finish drywall.
- Perform drywall finishing, patching, sanding, and texturing for maintenance and repair projects.
- Repair holes, cracks, water damage, and general wear in walls and ceilings.
- Match existing textures, finishes, and paint surfaces.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including priming and minor touch‑ups.
- Follow work orders, update supervisors on job status, and respond to urgent requests.
- Keep work area clean and adhere to safety procedures.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of drywall finishing or related construction experience, and strong knowledge of finishing techniques and tools. The role requires the ability to work at heights, willingness to receive equipment training, fluent English communication skills, and a valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Demonstrate strong knowledge of drywall techniques, materials, and tools.
- Exhibit attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Work comfortably at heights using ladders, lifts, or rooftops.
- Be willing to be trained on safe equipment operation (e.g., boom lift).
- Possess fluent English speaking and writing skills.
- Maintain a valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record, be 21 or older, and have no recent DUI/DWI convictions.
- Ability to crawl, kneel, squat, climb, lift up to 50 lb unassisted, and stand or walk for long periods.
