Finishing Technician

Overview

Perform grinding, gelcoat, sanding, and painting tasks on turbine blades.

Tasks

-Grind between quality marks and apply gelcoat to designated locations. -Apply tape to edge of blade to avoid overspray of gel coat. -Apply auto mask to the shell of the blade. -Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines. -Maintain 5s standards. -Turn the blade utilizing machine. -Grinding blade to work instruction specifications. -Apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade, then scrape of excess so all voids are filled.

What You Bring

-Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery. -Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs. -Ability to push/pull heavy objects. -Ability to work with hands for an extended period. -Previous Manufacturing experience. -High School Diploma/GED or related experience. -Requires usage of respirator. -Painting and Sanding -Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
