  • Develop detailed structural designs for residential, commercial and industrial projects, including steel, concrete, and timber structures.
  • Conduct site visits and perform structural assessments to evaluate the condition of existing structures.
  • Prepare construction documents and specifications for bidding and construction purposes.
  • Conduct structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
  • Mentor and support graduate and early-career engineers and design drafters.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other project team members to ensure the designs are aligned with the project goals and requirements.

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Civil Engineering Draftperson with 3-5 years of experience to join an expanding and dynamic team in our Ashmore or Brisbane office. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of structural design and analysis within the residential space, as well as project management.

  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Knowledge of quality, safety and environmental compliance requirements and a commitment to keeping safety at the core of everything you do.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships.
  • Personable with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Automatic Class C Drivers License.
  • Experience in industry-standard structural analysis and design software, such as, Spacegass, Rapt, Ram, Inducta.
  • 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on residential, commercial and industrial projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Detailed working knowledge of building codes and regulations, including AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, etc.
  • Working towards or interested in attaining RPEQ and CPEng Qualification.

Remuneration Range: $95,000 - $100,000 per annum excluding Superannuation.
