JRM is seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and proactive Prevailing Wage Compliance Specialist to ensure full compliance with prevailing wage laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act, New York State Labor Law, and local NYC requirements (e.g., NYC Comptroller’s Office rules). The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, auditing, and enforcing labor compliance on public works or government-funded construction projects across NYC.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Construction Management, Labor Studies, Business, Law, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Meticulous attention to details for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with UKG payroll system preferred, but equivalent experience with other systems will be considered.
- Ability to interpret wage determinations and collective bargaining agreements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and wage compliance software (e.g., LCPtracker, B2Gnow, Elation Systems, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA), NYS Labor Law Article 8 (construction), NYC-specific prevailing wage and living wage rules, and wage schedules and classifications
- Ability to manage sensitive information and interact with stakeholders across all levels
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in prevailing wage compliance, labor auditing, payroll review, or construction labor law enforcement. Experience with NYS and/or NYC public agencies (SUNY, CUNY, etc.) is a plus.

- To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary range is $75,000 - $85,000.
