

Global EPC specialist delivering AC substation design‑to‑construction for power, transport, utilities and data sectors
The engineer will manage primary engineering activities from the start of a project or tender through to the As‑Built stage, adhering strictly to Linxon specifications, QA/QC, HSSE and integrity standards. Coordination will be required across Linxon’s local and global engineering teams, sub‑suppliers, civil engineers, and secondary engineering partners.
Key duties include providing civil design information, orchestrating interfaces between construction planning, steel‑structure engineering, protection and control systems, auxiliary power, and all equipment suppliers. Technical expertise in GIS, transformers, switchgear and reactors up to 400 kV is essential.
The position involves engineering assigned equipment packages such as switchgear, transformers, reactors, hardware & fittings, CT/VT/SA and HV/MV/LV cables, and delivering technical solutions that comprise single‑line diagrams, layout drawings and detailed documentation in line with applicable standards, OHS considerations and customer specifications. Responsibilities also cover preparation of bills of quantities, cost estimates and resolution of technical deviations.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering and possess at least 15 years of substation engineering experience in utilities or EPC firms. Required knowledge includes legislative standards, substation layout, primary design, grounding, lightning, steel design inputs and HV/MV switchgear; basic understanding of protection and control systems is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office and basic MicroStation/AutoCAD skills are preferred.
