The Risk Management and Compliance Lead will join the Global Business Services (GBS) team to design, implement and evolve a robust compliance and controls framework, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations and internal policies such as SOX. Reporting to the Head of Risk Management & Compliance – GBS, the role collaborates with Finance, HR and project teams to embed controls in transformation and digitisation initiatives.
Key duties include conducting GBS‑wide risk assessments and control mapping, preparing SOX narratives, performing testing, and delivering regular risk‑mitigation reports. The lead will design and deliver compliance training, manage communication of policy updates, and create toolkits for coaching. Auditing responsibilities cover planning and executing periodic compliance audits, overseeing self‑testing programs, tracking trends, and partnering with internal and external auditors. The role also integrates compliance into GBS projects, reviews new tools and workflows, and drives continuous improvement.
Candidates must hold a CPA or equivalent accounting qualification and have at least five years of compliance experience, including two years in a global organization, with strong US GAAP and SOX expertise. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and experience working in cross‑cultural virtual teams are required.
