Key duties include preparing detailed conceptual estimates and cost studies from schematic or feasibility documents, updating estimates as designs evolve, and assembling presentation‑ready estimate packages. The estimator will also create bid packages, solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals, recommend awards, and lead RFP responses, value‑engineering sessions, and contract reviews.
DPR Construction is seeking a senior estimator with at least eight years of commercial construction experience. The role focuses on negotiated projects within core markets such as healthcare, advanced technology, higher education, life sciences, and corporate offices.
Qualifications require a flexible, detail‑oriented team player capable of managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and producing quality work. Candidates should possess excellent listening and communication skills, creative problem‑solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, estimating software (WinEst, Timberline), take‑off tools (On‑Screen Takeoff), BIM applications (Revit, Assemble), project management systems (CMiC), and scheduling software (Primavera).
Applicants must have eight or more years of commercial estimating experience, preferably within DPR’s core markets, and a bachelor’s degree is a plus. A strong work ethic and a ‘can‑do’ attitude are essential.
