The Sales Floor Lead oversees daily operations of the ReStore department, supports sales goals, and delivers top‑tier customer service. This leadership role includes supervising volunteers, handling opening and closing duties, and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Lead daily department operations to meet store sales goals.
- Provide exceptional service to customers and donors.
- Safely and efficiently handle merchandise and donations.
- Operate POS system and manage cash transactions.
- Assist with receiving donated goods at the dock.
- Supervise volunteers and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Independently open and close the store and complete end‑of‑day paperwork.
- Represent Habitat professionally and positively.
- Ensure compliance with all ReStore and Habitat policies and procedures.

Candidates should have prior POS experience, at least one year of customer service or supervisory experience, and reliable transportation for a flexible schedule. Strong communication, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted are required.
- Prior experience operating a POS system.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service and supervisory or leadership experience (preferred).
- Retail or warehouse experience (a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer and math proficiency.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and work collaboratively with team members and volunteers.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lb unassisted (up to 70 lb with assistance), and work in various weather conditions.
