Work is performed in all weather conditions and at various elevations, with moderate to high noise levels. The job site contains a range of equipment and materials, from light tools to heavy machinery, requiring coordination with co‑workers and supervisors.
- Construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood and metal
- Construct stairs and walkways
- Read and interpret prints, drawings and plans
- Use hand and power tools to layout, measure, mark, cut and arrange material
- Perform crane/rigging hand signals when applicable
- Communicate items of concern found during inspections and walk‑downs

The position requires extensive physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting, and occasional work at heights. Workers must use hand signals, tools, and follow safety protocols while wearing required personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, safety vests, gloves, and steel‑toe boots.
- Proficient mechanical skills
- Working knowledge of tube lock and pin lock scaffold systems
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
- Good aptitude and manual dexterity
- Good reading comprehension
- Team player with ability to work with others
- Effective communication with co‑workers and supervisors
- Experience using industrial hand tools and power tools
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge of safety practices for operating equipment
- Minimum 4‑5 years industrial maintenance experience
- Training in vocational schools or related on‑the‑job experience
