As a Project Manager in the Construction Operations department, you will lead the field execution of assigned federal construction projects throughout QGS’s Acquire‑Comply‑Execute lifecycle. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with federal regulations, while collaborating closely with program managers and enterprise support functions such as safety, finance, HR, supply chain, IT and legal.
- Own end‑to‑end execution of assigned federal construction projects, leading Integrated Project Teams through all lifecycle stages.
- Coordinate stakeholder communication with federal agencies, clients, subcontractors and internal partners.
- Develop and manage baseline budgets and monthly forecasts, maintaining CPI ≥ 0.95 and DCAA‑ready cost documentation.
- Build and control project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, track earned value, and address critical‑path variances.
- Deliver data‑driven safety, cost and schedule reports to Program Management and obtain approvals for change orders.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, DCAA audit standards, CUI protection, ISO 9001 and related regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor project team members, promoting collaboration and accountability.
- Prepare weekly progress reports, three‑week look‑ahead schedules and updated risk logs through the OPS Platform (GCC High).

The role requires at least seven years of experience managing federal construction contracts of $5 million or more, a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, and a PMP certification (or commitment to obtain within 12 months). Additional qualifications such as OSHA 30, USACE/NAVFAC QC Manager, and knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DCAA, NIST 800‑171 and ISO 9001 are preferred.
- Minimum 7 years managing federal construction contracts of $5 M or greater (DOE, DoD, NAVFAC, USACE, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- PMP certification required within 12 months of hire; OSHA 30 required (support provided if not held).
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DCAA, NIST 800‑171, ISO 9001 and NQA‑1.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera or equivalent and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
