What you would be doing

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety rules and company policies.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies in pricing, quantity, or quality, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Contribute to supplier reviews and assist in implementing best practices for procurement efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within procurement and stores functions.
  • Uphold company values and culture in all procurement and stores activities.
  • Assist in raising purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed procurement procedures.
  • Maintain an effective administration system for stores inventory, ensuring accurate stock records.
  • Oversee warehouse upkeep, forklift operations, and unloading of vehicles.
  • Sourcing of goods and services, obtaining competitive quotations, and negotiating pricing where appropriate.
  • Collect and prepare items for delivery or pickup according to maintenance schedules.
  • Perform regular stock counts, location checks, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Use scanners and computer systems for inventory control and reporting.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and escalate issues promptly to maintain operational continuity.
  • Perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policy.
