Lead coordination and communication between VDC, design, and operations teams to resolve issues in the model, in the drawings, and in the field.
Set-up electronic file and information exchanges utilizing various platforms, including Bluebeam Revu.
Attend meetings and submit updates to management regarding project status and needs.
Develop length and quantity take-offs utilizing various take-off software.
Create, set-up, manage, and populate design and construction models as necessary to build working views, sheet views, and 3D views for export using Revit or other software.
Perform quantity take-offs and exports.
Mentor VDC Operator I & II staff and other responsibilities as assigned.
Correspond regularly with project managers, general contractors and other subcontractors.
Generate design and construction documentation for structured cabling projects during design, shop drawings, and as-builts phases of a project.
Create and manage all model content, including views, sheets, schedules, families, and parameters.
Manage 3D models for design and/or construction coordination and submission for approval by general contractor.
Run internal clash detection tests to assist project team with coordination process.
Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
Clash Detection Rate - Identifying and resolving clashes or conflicts within the BIM model to prevent errors.
Participate in project VDC coordination meetings: spatial coordination of disciplines, gathering all disciplines BIM models including civil and performing coordination tasks in Navisworks, BIM360 Glue and/or other coordination software.
Model Quality - Delivering accurate and comprehensive digital representations of construction projects.
Assist VDC and Operations teams in reviewing and resolving issues during construction and updating the model and drawings accordingly.
Provide VDC/BIM quality assurance by reviewing project BIM standards, execution plans and design drawings for completeness and accuracy.
Project Efficiency - Ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, minimizing waste and delays.
Create, run, and consolidate clash reports.
Create, import, and manage parameters, selection sets, and search sets.
Data Accuracy - Guaranteeing the reliability and precision of information used in BIM models.
Perform quality assurance audits on models and drawing sets.
On-time Delivery - Meeting project deadlines to maintain client satisfaction and project progress.

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Bluebeam Revu, or other PDF management software, required.
Time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and execute daily plans.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit:
Ability to translate verbal, written, and drawn direction into Revit documentation output.
Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, able to help create, develop, and implement project process improvement(s).
Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
Clear and concise 2D Documentation within IES’ VDC Standards.
High School diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting, construction management, computing, engineering technologies or a similar degree, is preferred.
Collaboration Effectiveness - Fostering seamless communication and coordination among project stakeholders.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Revit, or other VDC software required.
Intermediate knowledge of Navisworks:
Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentation(s).
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Prior experience with electrical, controls systems or low voltage design is a plus.
Must meet company minimum driving standards.
Regular attendance is mandatory.
Ability to work effectively both independently and on a team.
