Maintain team building and project communication with both internal and external clients
Direct staff in completing geotechnical engineering tasks for transportation projects, including slope stability analyses, Subsurface Exploration Planning Submissions, Foundation Recommendation Reports, Geotechnical Engineering Reports and Alternatives Analyses and other geotechnical related reports
Coordinate with bridge structural designers.
Assist in developing statements of interest
Maintain positive employee relations and proactive project communication
Determine scope of work and prepare man-hour estimates for geotechnical engineering tasks
Communicate with clients, establish goals and objectives for project teams, and schedule and coordinate resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client.
Provide quality control oversight for all aspects of the geotechnical engineering tasks
Provide a team environment, mentorship, and training for junior level geotechnical staff.

Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record will be required.
Proficient in the use of LPile, GRLweap, DRIVEN, SLIDE and gINT.
Ability to monitor schedules and budgets
BS in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering), MS or PhD degree preferable
Strong technical writing skills required for reports
Experience in the use of PennDOT design specifications and AASHTO
Professional Engineering License
Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required

Minimum 15 years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission
